In July, several Label Innovation employees took part in the Spartan event held at Calabogie, Ontario Canada.
The Spartan Race is a series of obstacles of varying difficulty covering a distance ranging from 5km to half marathon distances. The international event is currently franchised to 30 countries including Canada, the United States, South Korea, Australia and several European countries.
The Label Innovation participants included Steven Pepin, Paul Carusi, Chris Ferry, Matt Ferry, Rudy Witlox, Tracy Wilson, Franco Croatto and Arnab Basu. LINC ran as a corporate team at the event.
“The pain was worth it and it was a lot of fun,” says Tracy Wilson.
Other LINC employees, despite some aches and pains, already see the benefit of having the team run together.
After the race was over the team members all agreed that it was a great team building exercise and the camaraderie that was shared brought everyone closer together as colleagues. It was awesome to see the team working together and helping each other complete the grueling event.
The Spartan Race is a unique event that tests physical and mental toughness. Obstacles include elements of water, mud, rope, barbed wire, wall and fire. Racers run, climb, and crawl across some of the most gorgeous terrain the world has to offer, whilst tackling unique and challenging obstacles that include tests of strength, balance, mental tenacity, and endurance.
Several of our employees are already looking forward to racing again next year.
