Electrical insulation plays an important role in product safety. Vinyl

Vinyl electrical tape has a flexible backing, excellent electrical insulating properties and high dielectric strength. The aggressive rubber adhesive of vinyl tape performs well over a range of temperatures. Electrical tapes also they offer resistance to moisture, UV, abrasion, corrosion, alkalies and acids. Vinyl electrical tapes are used for primary insulation up to 600 volts, including wire harnessing, degaussing coils and high-voltage cables. Polyimide FIlm

Polyimide film insulating tapes, including Kapton tape, are specially designed for high temperature applications requiring a thin, puncture resistant backing. They are ideal for high temperature electrical applications in which a tough, thin insulating material is required for wrapping coils, transformers, capacitors and wire harnesses. They are also used as a cover layer and for wave solder masking in printed circuit board assembly. Glass Cloth

Glass cloth insulating tapes offer high mechanical strength and resistance to high temperatures with excellent absorption of resins and varnishes. Our range of glass cloth tapes is flexible and conformable, with excellent cut-through and edge-tear resistance and are ideal for holding and strapping applications up to 200°C. Suggested applications for glass cloth insulating tapes include insulating electric and induction type furnace power supply leads and splicing silicone-covered glass wire. They are also ideal for applications such as wrapping bobbin wound coils, banding arbour wound coils, lead pad hold down and end turns. Acetate Cloth

The aesthetically pleasing acetate cloth tape offers excellent conformability in coil-wrapping applications up to 105°C plus excellent absorption of electrical insulation resins and varnishes. They are suited for applications such as anchoring ferrite strips on deflection yokes, as well as assorted insulating and holding coil applications where flame retardancy is a requirement. Epoxy

Our epoxy tape consists of either a thermosetting rubber resin or acrylic adhesive with a flexible and conformable film backing for easy handling and application. They offer solder and puncture resistance, high dielectric strength and UL recognition for flame retardancy at temperatures up to 155°C. Epoxy tape is designed to require fewer wraps to meet dielectric requirements, compared to typical glass cloth tapes. They are typically used for applications such as wrapping capacitors, relays, coils and transformers and holding in fractional horsepower shaded-pole motors, arbour-wound coils and wire harnesses. Utilizing our range of converting capabilities we can offer epoxy electrical insulation tape in custom width and length rolls or in custom shapes and final presentations.

Antistatic

Electrical antistatic tape is a transparent polyester film, ideal for use near electronic components and assemblies. They generate less than 50 volts on unwind and removal from stainless steel, helping to prevent ESD damage to sensitive electronics components in manufacturing environments. The triboelectric charge may vary with your application and environment. Antistatic tape is especially suited for office, clean room and workstation use, closing static shielding bags, container sealing/holding and label stock. Utilizing our range of converting capabilities we can offer antistatic tape in custom width and length rolls or in custom shapes and final presentations.

Non Adhesive Insulation

We offer a range of non-adhesive electrical insulating materials, such as paper, polyimide and polyester products, from a range of material manufacturers, including DuPont for their well known brands of Kapton®, Melinex® and Nomex®. These proven electrical insulation materials retain their physical, electrical and mechanical properties over a wide temperature range, providing high performance insulation and reliability over a long service life. Our range of non-adhesive insulating materials are used in a variety of electrical and electronic applications, including formed coil insulation, magnet wire and capacitor insulation, in battery packs, liquid filled transformers, flexible printed circuit boards, motors and generators. We can also laminate materials with an adhesive of your choice, for a unique material construction.

Composite Film

Composite film tape combines the high dielectric strength and edge-tear resistance of polyester film and nonwoven polyester for a conformable product with excellent puncture resistance and electrical properties. Composite insulating films are excellent for general purpose insulation and are suggested for use in stick-wound coils/transformers and in bobbin-wound coils for banding, anchoring and insulating. Other applications include protecting start wires, leads, terminal strips, insulation paper, end turns and connections in motors and transformers. Filament Reinforced Tape

Filament reinforced tapes provide the dielectric strength of polyester film and the high mechanical strength of glass fibres. They offer low stretch, high tensile and edge-tear resistance for a more cost effective solution, compared with glass cloth tapes. Filament reinforced insulating tapes are excellent for anchoring lead wires to banding coils and end-turn taping. A special paper-backed filament tape is available for high-voltage oil-filled transformer applications. Electrical Insulation Paper

Electrical insulation paper provides good cushioning, puncture resistance and toughness. These tapes are ideal for banding coils, covering bobbin-wound coils and for end-turn taping.

PTFE Film

PTFE adhesive tape is thin, extremely resistant to chemicals and has a high arc resistance. They are free of carbonizing materials and are great for non-stick applications. PTFE adhesive tape is used in applications requiring consistent performance and minimum shrinkage across a wide range of temperatures. They perform consistently over a broad temperature range (180°C/356°F), for use on high temperature coils, capacitor and wire harnesses. Self Amalgamating Tape

Self amalgamating tape, also known as self fusing tape, is a self bonding rubber or silicone tape used for electrical insulation applications. When stretched and wrapped around itself, this product fuses together to form a strong, waterproof and electrically insulating layer. Self amalgamating tapes are commonly used for waterproofing, corrosion protection, jointing and repair of cables. Products are available for general purpose, low voltage and higher voltage applications.
