Delamination
 

The partial or complete separation of the layers of a laminate.

 

Die
 
Any sharp cutting form used to cut desired shapes from paper.
 

Die-Cut
 

(verb) to punch out with a sharp tool. (Noun) Cleft, gash, slit or notch left from punching out operation. See an example in our Solution Showcase.

 

Differential Release
 
The difference between the surface tension of two opposite surfaces.
 

Double Bump
 

The application of two layers of ink to achieve greater opacity or more intense colour.

 

DPI
 
Dots per inch, a measure of resolution.
