Printing on the underside of the substrate.
 
 
Backslit
 

A cut made to the bottom part (i.e. liner) of a label construction. See an example in our Solution Showcase.

 
 
Bleed
 

The printed image that extends beyond the trim edge of the label or tag.

 
 
Butt Splice
 

An end-to-end joining of two similar materials to achieve continuity of surface, design, etc…
